While the show’s release generated a lot of buzz, did you know that the Hollywood star all but refused to work on the show’s upcoming season? In a recent interview, Sudeikis admitted that initially, when the proposal for a fourth season was put on his desk, he almost turned it down.

Sudeikis revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he personally feels his character’s story has been told and he doesn’t want to change things again in the new season. Weighing in on the matter, he shared: “This is not a negotiating tactic. The story is done. Ted goes home [to Kansas City] With his son. I’m not going to let Ted uproot their lives to defend cash trucks. This makes no sense to me. “Sudeikis added that money was never an issue. By the third season of the beloved series, Sudeikis was reportedly making $1 million for every episode he produced. However, it was the fans that made him change his mind. He shared that he saw how important the character and the show was to people around the world, so he felt compelled to join the series again. He added, “It (the show) saved me, too.”Sudeikis also noted, “It’s infectious to play a character who sees the best in people and doesn’t get angry at the shortcomings and bullying and shadowing of the world. I’m not like Daniel Day-Lewis, but it’s nice to live in that environment – to have that feeling flowing through your brain and body all day long. It still does. I knew I needed this. I needed it as much as anyone else.”
