Honda ZR-V Launched in India at Rs 48 Lakh: Performance, Features and More
Honda Cars India today finally launched the much-awaited Honda ZR-V in the Indian market, priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The ZR-V is offered in one fully loaded variant and is brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU) from Japan. The hybrid SUV competes with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail and others.As for the powertrain, the Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-liter powerful hybrid gasoline engine with a four-cylinder direct injection system that works on the Atkinson cycle and two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. Combined power is 184 hp and 315 Nm, and the power is transmitted to the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox. Honda claims a sprint from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, an electronically limited top speed of 171 km/h and a fuel consumption of 22.8 kpl. In terms of design, the Honda ZR-V adopts a crossover-like design instead of the traditional upright SUV shape, with clean surfaces. Up front, it features a large grille and wide LED headlights, neatly integrated into the fascia to provide a restrained but noticeable presence. In profile, the SUV appears lower than typical models, with a sloping roofline and long wheelbase, giving it proportions closer to a raised hatchback than a conventional tall SUV. Subtle character lines add definition without making the design complex.The rear continues the same approach, with wraparound LED taillights, a slightly raked rear window and a simple tailgate layout. The roof spoiler adds a slight sporty element while keeping the overall clean design. The exterior is positioned as more urban focused than rugged. Inside, the Honda ZR-V has a simple cabin design. Controls are arranged logically, with an emphasis on accessibility from the driver’s seat. The infotainment screen is placed as a standalone unit at the top of the dashboard, clearly separated from the physical switches below. Honda continued to use conventional buttons and rotary controls for functions such as climate controls.In terms of features, it gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, electric tailgate, acoustic front and rear windshields, front and rear ambient lighting, wipers with integrated washers, 8 airbags, ADAS and more.
