Looking back on the experience, she chose not to focus on the illness, but on the kindness she received throughout her journey.She wrote: “As one phase of my treatment comes to an end and my birthday approaches, I find myself looking back rather than looking at the diagnosis. Not at the surgery site. Not during chemotherapy. Not at the radiation. I remember grace. “She further shared, “Looking back, I know none of this was a coincidence. It was the way God held my hand. During this journey, I realized that God does not always appear to us in divine form. He came into my life as my mentor, my doctor, my nurse, my family, my friend, and even as a person who was once a stranger but became a blessing.”
