Zimbabwe 0/0 in 0.0 Overs
After losing the first two games, Bangladesh will be hoping to salvage some pride, while Zimbabwe will be looking to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.
Miraz wants the batting to improve
Explaining the decision to bowl first, Miraz admitted that Bangladesh were disappointed with their performance in the previous game but insisted that the team has moved on.
“We will bowl first. The way we bowled in the last game, it was a bit disappointing, but it is over, and we are thinking about the next game.”
The Bangladesh skipper stressed the need for a better partnership with the bat.
“I think we need unity in the top order and then in the back. So we made some mistakes, but we can think of the positives and we know the conditions because we have played two matches.
Bangladesh made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Mohammad Saifuddin and Tanvir Islam.
“We have two changes. Saifuddin is in. Tanvir is in,” Miraz added.
Raza is confident of completing the clean sweep
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza revealed that Richard Ngarava has been rested as part of workload management.
“Richard is good. I think it’s one of the policies that we have to manage our work. If you look at Richard’s history back and also the games he’s played, that’s why it’s important to give him a rest as well. That’s why we’re resting him now with the other guys.”
Raza credited the positive atmosphere in the dressing room for Zimbabwe’s success in the series so far.
“The confidence and the mood and the culture we have in the changing room. I think all those things add to what you see and what everyone sees on the park as well.
He also spoke about the challenge of stoning pitches in the winter in Harare.
“I think playing at Sports Club in the winter especially, I think against a new ball, it’s always very difficult. But I think the credit to our guys as well from the first game. They improved a lot in the second, and now I’m confident that there will be more progress in the third. We learned on our feet, and now I think it’s a challenge, but it’s a challenge in the winter.
Zimbabwe also made three changes to the side.
“So we have Nyamhuri who picked up a niggle, he’s out. And of course, we manage the workload for the bowlers. Two seamers, Nesto and Chivanga, along with Wellington coming in as Nyamhuri’s replacement. So two seamers and a spinner will be added.”
Pitch reporting
The Harare Sports Club pitch is expected to provide assistance to the batters and bowlers.
“The surface looks nice, but there’s a lot of grass there, and it’s rolled, and you can see that the color of the surface has changed because of the amount of rolling that’s gone. But there’s a thick, good cover of grass.
