East Village Apartments

After the surprising box office success of “Risky Business,” Tom Cruise invested in a 2,200-square-foot apartment in the American Felt Building, Architectural Digest reports. The space includes three bedrooms, one of which was converted into a state-of-the-art gym. In 2013, he sold the property, which he had owned for thirty years, for $3 million.

In the early 1990s, Tom Cruise began planning a home on a 32-acre parcel of land in Telluride, Colorado. In 1994, the 10,000-square-foot mansion was completed. The house remains his and ex-wife Katie Holmes’ primary residence. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the couple described the house as “a spacious cabin or log cabin in a rustic cabin style—informal, airy, and built with honey-colored dead wood from Oregon.”The four-bedroom house also features a stone fireplace, a golf course, a motocross track, an outdoor fire pit and an in-ground trampoline among other amenities, as well as a separate guest house with three bedrooms. The 2.5-acre home has old charm, an Italian farmhouse-style kitchen, seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a vaulted-ceiling living room with a fireplace. Additionally, a separate guest house includes four bedrooms and its own kitchen. Tom Cruise purchased the property in 2005 for $11.7 million and later sold it to Eva Longoria at a loss of $11.4 million.

In 2006, Tom Cruise set his sights on a luxurious British estate in the small town of East Grinstead, West Sussex. Tom Cruise invested $9.5 million in a two-story penthouse townhouse in Florida. Amenities include a solarium, rooftop deck, 39-foot infinity pool, hot tub and bar, flight simulator and private car elevator.
