The stunning debut look of the third season of “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power” was revealed at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con. While announcing the much-anticipated follow-up series, the producers also revealed: Simon Pegg Will join the cast as the voice of Balrog. Based on JRR Tolkien’s fantasy series “Middle-Earth” will premiere in November.Here’s a detailed look at the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power.

The Lord of the Rings: Ring of Power announced surprises and cast members during a panel held in Hall H, including showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay. More than 6,500 attendees attended the show, the release said. Surprising appearances include four heavily armed Nazgul, servants of Sauron’s Ring and predecessors of the Nazgûl in the Second Age. Additionally, Simon Pegg joins the cast as the voice of Balrog, who speaks for the first time. Many creatures will be joining in the upcoming season, including Hellbeasts, Mumakir, Orgus, and Balrogs.The official plot for Season 3 is as follows: “Season 3 takes place at the height of the War between the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to forge the One Ring, giving him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will, and ultimately rule all of Middle-earth.”

The cast of “Rings of Power” includes Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Charles Edwards, Robert Strangeand Markla Cavenagh. Other members joining in season three include Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Vara and Adam Young.The third season will premiere on November 11, 2026, with a total of four episodes. The fifth and sixth episodes will be aired on November 18, 2026, and the last two episodes will be aired on November 25, 2026.
