The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition challenging the Coast Regulation Zone (CRZ) permission for the project, clearing the way for the actor to go ahead with plans that include adding two floors to a sea-facing bungalow.According to ANI, the Supreme Court refused to interfere with the order passed by the Supreme Court earlier National Green Tribunal (NGT), the company dismissed its objections to CRZ approval.A bench includes chief justice of india A bench of Justices Surya Kant, Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana dismissed the appeal filed by Mumbai-based activist Santosh Daundkar. The activist challenged the order of the NGT Pune West Zone Committee, alleging irregularities in the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA)’s approval of the proposed renovation and expansion of ‘Mannat’.While refusing to hear the appeal, the judge said it had “serious doubts” about the veracity of the petition.The legal challenge stems from an order issued by the NGT Pune bench in September 2025, which upheld the CRZ clearance issued by MCZMA and dismissed Daundkar’s objections. The activist then filed a case in the Supreme Court, seeking to overturn the court’s decision.However, the Supreme Court refused to intervene, effectively upholding the NGT’s ruling and ending the legal proceedings.The CRZ permission granted for the renovation and expansion of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Mannat’ remains valid as the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, allowing the planned construction, including the addition of a two-storey building, to go ahead.
