The CBFC website currently lists two versions of the trailer. One trailer titled “Trailer – Ramayana 3D” has a duration of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, while the other trailer titled “Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D” has a duration of exactly 4 minutes. It remains to be seen whether the online release of the film will provide fans with an additional 15 seconds of footage, or whether it will be reserved for viewers to watch on the big screen.

The upcoming trailer marks the film’s next big promotional asset. The film’s first trailer video was released on July 3, 2025, introducing audiences to this ambitious mythological epic. On April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti festival, the makers released ‘Rama First Look’. The character trailer introduces viewers to Ranbir Kapoor’s character Lord Rama and also teases Yash’s villain Ravana. The clip, which is 2 minutes and 38 seconds long, also received a ‘U’ certificate from CBFC.

Just days before the trailer received CBFC certification, the makers announced in a social media post on their official account: “From Bharat to the world, Ramayana trailer will premiere globally on July 24, 2026.”The team released a statement, which read, “For thousands of years, Ramayana has inspired generations with its timeless message of dharma, mayada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of the greatest civilizational epics of Bharat, presented to the world on a scale never seen before in Indian cinema.”
