Nissan Tekton vs Renault Duster: price, specifications, features compared
Nissan India has just launched the new Nissan Tekton SUV in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the new Tekton online or by visiting their nearest outlets with a down payment of Rs 21,000 and deliveries will start from July 20. The SUV will compete with Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. The new Tekton shares a platform with the new Renault Duster and will be manufactured at Renault’s Tamil Nadu plant. Nissan Tekton vs. Renault Duster: Price, variants The new Nissan Tekton is offered in six variants – Visia, Visia plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna plus with prices ranging from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh, respectively (ex showroom). The Renault Duster is offered in five variants – Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno Plus and Iconic with prices ranging from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh was applicable for buyers who pre-booked their cars till March 2026; after that, the standard price starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Nissan Tekton is available in six variants, one more than the Renault Duster’s five variants, and is priced up to Rs 50,000 higher across the range.

Nissan Tekton vs. Renault Duster: DimensionsBoth the 2026 Nissan Tekton and the 2026 Renault Duster are based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B modular platform. However, they differ slightly in their overall dimensions. The Tekton is 4348 mm long, 1815 mm wide and 1674 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2657 mm. In comparison, the Duster is identical in length at 4348mm and has the same wheelbase of 2657mm, but is 2mm narrower at 1813mm and 18mm shorter at 1656mm.

Nissan Tekton vs Renault Duster: Engine optionsThe new Nissan Tekton and Renault Duster get identical engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol with 100 PS, 166 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. Another engine option is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol that delivers 163 PS, 280 Nm, and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The Duster, on the other hand, will additionally be offered with a 1.8-liter powerful 109 hp hybrid gasoline engine, paired with a 49 hp electric motor and a 20 hp hybrid starter generator (HSG), paired with a 1.4 kWh (280 V) battery. Together, this configuration gives a combined system output of 160 hp and 172 Nm. This hybrid powertrain will be launched this holiday season.
