“Avengers: Doomsday” new footage and poster: Old Marvel star returns as Doctor Doom’s backstory – new details revealed
The recent San Diego Comic-Con brought many new developments to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From Ryan Gosling as a new Ghost Rider to fans getting a new Black Panther due out in 2028, many new projects have been announced. In addition, a new clip from the upcoming Marvel movie “Avengers: Endgame” was screened exclusively for fans at the event. The new clip brings a lot of exciting content, including the return of old characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and more details about Doctor Doom’s backstory.
About the new Avengers: Doomsday footage
The cast of Avengers: Doomsday attended the event to promote the film and talk more about their upcoming projects. Robert Downey Jr., who last appeared in a Marvel Universe movie in 2019, will take over the role of Doctor Doom this December. According to Entertainment Weekly, Downey took to the stage and said: “A decision has to be made, you have to be on the side of the good guys, or you have to look at the alternative… to join a doomed family. Come to the green side. “The clip and panel also officially confirm that actress Hayley Atwell will return as Peggy Carter in Armageddon, which is expected to be released this December. The trailer also reveals more details about Doctor Doom’s backstory and where he comes from. Doctor Doom doesn’t come from one of the main Earths like most other Marvel heroes and villains, but instead belongs to Earth-818, the home of the Fantastic Four team.In another part of the video, Vanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, is editing a montage. She said: “He was always the smartest man in the world… He was once different. He had been kind, he had been caring…everything he loved had been taken away…I knew he was lost, but I didn’t realize he was broken. ” In another part of the video, Doctor Doom is surrounded by his minions, the Sentinels, while he fights Thor.The event was attended by Chris Evans, Paul Rudd and Pedro Pascal. Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Hannah John-Kamen, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Danny Ramsey, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Kelsey Grammer and Winston Duke attended. Joe Russo and Anthony Russo were also in attendance and teased little stories about the project. Anthony said in the H-panel wrap-up: “We still have a lot of work to do to bring you the best possible apocalypse, so we’re going to get to work.“
Robert Downey Jr. reveals details about Avengers: Armageddon
Robert Downey Jr., who played Iron Man in “Endgame” until his character’s death, will play an entirely new villain. Recently, he shared new details about the upcoming Avengers movie. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about all this, he shared, “There’s science to it, and they’re considered very smart people. But Tony’s trauma makes him a hero, and Doom does the opposite and requires the strength of all these people to fight him, and it’s a joy to see.”“He further shared that one of the characters also had a big impact on him, adding, “It’s really weird being on the other side of the bad guy mask because it’s such an isolating atmosphere. I see them all socializing and stuff, and I’m the enemy!”“Avengers: Endgame” is expected to be released in December this year.
