As students took to the streets of New Delhi in protest on Monday, Gurfat expressed his support on Instagram, writing: “Jaago desh, jaago. Ek baar phir kranti aayi hai. (Indian flag and fist emoji).” (Wake up, village, wake up. The revolution is coming again.) He also used his story to amplify posts from the protests, noting that the movement has now transcended the Cockroach BJP or Sonam Wangchuk.

In his Instagram Story, he made his stance clear, writing, “Honestly, there is only one right. You should talk about it like Dhurandhar 3.” On Monday, he also shared photos and videos of the crowd who gathered at Shivaji Park in Mumbai to take part in the protest.
