DU CSAS first round seat allotment list 2026 postponed: When will it be released?
Thousands of candidates are waiting for the first round of undergraduate admissions Delhi University (DU) refreshed its screens on Wednesday evening as the first round seat allotment list of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) was yet to be announced.The first allotment list is scheduled to be released on July 16 at 5 pm through the candidates dashboard on the DU UG admissions portal. However, the allocation status is not visible even after the published time. Some people also reported difficulties accessing the portal, which loaded slowly or failed to open.The first allocation list is expected to be announced soon.
What happens after the allocation list is released?
After the first allotment list is announced, shortlisted candidates will have to accept the seats allotted through the CSAS portal before proceeding to the document verification and fee payment stage.The admission process will be conducted as per the schedule announced by DU.

Candidates who are offered seats must click on the ‘Accept allotted seat’ option before the last date. Once the uploaded documents are verified by the allotted institute, candidates will be able to pay the admission fee online to confirm their provisional admission.

Once the allocation list is activated, candidates can access it through their dashboard.

- Click on the Candidate Login option.
- Enter the general college entrance examination undergraduate (
CUET UG) 2026 application number and password. - Complete the security verification code.
- Log in to the dashboard.
- Open the first round allocation status link.
- Download and save allocation details.

Of these, 2,18,284 candidates completed the first phase of registration, while 2,08,043 candidates locked their final course and university preferences before the preference window closed.The university offers 71,624 undergraduate seats across 69 colleges and departments in 73 undergraduate programmes, which brings the competition to close to three candidates for each available seat.
