Amid the show’s success, the actor recently opened up about her fitness regimen, eating habits and her cancer treatment journey.Bender revealed that she follows a strict intermittent fasting regimen and watches her food intake. When the host noticed that she had barely eaten during the interaction, the actor explained that she had just returned from a long fast.Recalling that moment, she said she may have been fasting for more than 16 hours when they had eaten together before. Sonali Bendre, 51, follows a strict diet centered around intermittent fasting. Actors typically eat only one and a half meals a day, occasionally increasing to two full meals. Rather than eating at regular intervals throughout the day, she chooses to limit her meals and maintain fasting periods of 18 to 20 hours.In a conversation with Mashable India, Sonali said, “I fast for 18 to 20 hours,” Bendre revealed, adding that she follows intermittent fasting. She also shared that she only eats “one and a half meals a day.” Sometimes, she eats two meals a day, but most days, she fasts for 18-20 hours and only eats one and a half meals a day.In a post on “This research really helped me when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Looking back, she regrets not catching her condition sooner. “If I had caught it earlier, I wouldn’t have had to live with these side effects for the rest of my life,” she shared, referring to the lasting effects of her treatment.Bender credits her husband, film producer Goldie Bell, for immediately stepping in and making sure she received the best care. After her diagnosis, he took her to New York for treatment, for which she is still grateful.“I can only thank him for that and nothing else,” she said. Since beating cancer, Bender has emphasized the importance of healthy living, regular exercise and clean eating. She also uses her platform to raise awareness about cancer and encourage people to prioritize early detection and prompt treatment.
